Hearts

Christ is a lover and the best ever. He pursues, He never gives up, He hopes and He loves. Relentless and unceasing is His love, yet no gentler lover could possibly be known.

There is one other special thing He does, what I'd like to call a signature move of His; something only He can pull off so magnificently.

He touches, changes, melts and transforms hearts.

In my current state of life, I witness this so vividly in my own life and in the lives of family and friends. I get overwhelmed at the very thought of these beautiful people; "Whoa. There is just no way they could've pulled that massive change without God's guiding hand in it." Their lives could be the Gospels people read. After one too many bumps in the road, this realisation strengthens me. What were once cliches; "Nothing is impossible for God." "God works in His own time." spring to life.

The truth is there are no words enough to explain how real God is. His love alone heals broken relationships, mends hearts, transforms lives inside out and His love is the only answer to that unending stir in our souls.

To get a glimpse of it, here's what I tend to do. Think of a person you might have given up on. Really think.
You could've given up loving the person, you could hate him/her, you could believe there's nothing left to be done for the person.

And the reasons could range from east to west; It might because that person is ridiculously difficult to accommodate in your life, or because he/she has caused too much hurts, or because that person is no longer in your life or simply because there are no reasons left to care.

When I think of that, it occurs to me just how incredible God's love is. So incredible that His is a creating love, that His love actually extends to the people I have no love for and that His love (this is really funny but I always get stumped at the thought of this) stretches to include what I find to be disgusting creatures...such as lizards. I mean, He actually willed them to life and thought them beautiful?

Truly, He'll always be a wonder.

If you are having a hard time loving someone (be it yourself or others) or if things are starting to seem impossible in life, rejoice. These are creaks through which God's graces leak. It may take just a prayer, it may take days, or weeks, months and years but rest assured..He is never late. These pale in comparison when we finally see Him face to face. He promises not easy roads, He promises it will be worthwhile.

When you lose hope, remember that God's love prevails. The angels and saints are rooting for you and Mama Mary is but a whisper away. And we're praying for you.
