Remember the time

Remember the time
you walked down the road
only to look over your shoulders
to see that no one was following?
Someone, though barely visible
was journeying by your side
as your emotions you tried to hide.

Remember the time
promises, both vocal and not
were being made to you
of great strength and great things
only to be proved empty dreams?
Someone, though barely visible
was whispering promises
in your ear, which will forever be.

Remember the time
you thought all was good
and that all meant well
only to have that
proven as a sick illusion to you?
Someone, though barely visible
walked miles and stretched arms
to show that Goodness doesn't fail.

Remember the time
by words and deeds
how i vowed to be unchanging
and just as you were about to trust
i pulled back in fear
and left you aghast?
Someone, though barely visible
unlike i; was, is and will always be
your companion immovable.

Above all
remember the time, however momentary,
where leaves were indeed green,
flowers began budding,
sun never ceased to shine
and no one was to you cold?
Someone, though barely visible
is there too
and proves to ever be there for you.

I'm sorry how some things turn out to be and wish i could've done something to make things different. But i'm glad that's how we all find God; finding Him in disappointments.

And since we're an Easter people, we'll rise above all those and show the world that we have a Saviour greater than the gravest of things.
